As a former director of the Johns Hopkins University Office of Pre-Professional Programs and Advising and the Goucher College Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program, I have advised thousands of pre-med students and alumni as they explored pre-med activities, reflected on a career in medicine, and applied to medical school. I especially enjoy getting to know students as individuals, helping them recognize their strengths, identify areas for growth, and develop a thoughtful and authentic path forward. Above all, I believe that the best advising begins with getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what is motivating you to pursue medicine.
